What can I customize?

The 0xDoktor widget supports the following customizations through your admin dashboard:

Appearance

Primary color — button, header, and accent color to match your brand
Widget position — bottom-right (default) or bottom-left
Widget title — the heading shown inside the chat panel
Bot avatar — upload a logo or icon displayed next to bot responses

Behavior

Welcome message — the first message shown when the widget opens
Placeholder text — hint shown inside the text input field
Auto-open on load — open the chat panel automatically for new visitors (use sparingly — it increases bounce rate on content pages)
Escalation message — what to show when confidence is low and the chatbot cannot answer reliably

Language

The widget language defaults to the browser's locale. You can override this with the data-lang attribute on the script tag:

Supported values: en, es, pt, fr, de.

How to apply customizations

Log in to admin.0xdoktor.com
Go to Settings → Widget
Edit the fields you want to change
Click Save — changes take effect within seconds, no redeploy needed

The widget fetches its configuration on load, so updates are live immediately without touching your codebase.

What cannot be customized in V1?

The following are fixed in V1 and planned for future releases:

Widget size and layout (fixed floating button + panel)
Font family (inherits your page's CSS)
Mobile-specific behavior beyond position
