Widget interface languages
The 0xDoktor widget UI (labels, buttons, placeholder text) is available in:
- Spanish (
es) - English (
en) - Portuguese (
pt) - French (
fr) - German (
de)
By default, the widget detects the user's browser language and renders accordingly. You can override this with the data-lang attribute:
<script
src="https://widget.0xdoktor.com/v1/widget.js"
data-tenant="your-tenant-id"
data-lang="es"
async
></script>
Multilingual knowledge bases
0xDoktor's embedding model understands semantic meaning across languages. You can upload documents in multiple languages to the same knowledge base and users will receive answers in the language of their question — provided the relevant content exists in that language.
Example: if your knowledge base contains both English and Spanish documentation for the same product, a Spanish-speaking user asking in Spanish will receive a Spanish answer from the Spanish documents.
Best practices for multilingual content
- Separate KBs per language — if your content is significantly different between languages (not just translated), use separate knowledge bases with
data-kbto route users to the right one - Consistent terminology — terms that vary between regions (e.g., "ordenador" vs "computadora") should both appear in your content or glossary
- Avoid mixing languages within a single document — chunking works best when each chunk is internally consistent in language
What about the AI model's language support?
The underlying language model (GPT-4o-mini by default) supports all major languages. Answers are generated in the language of the retrieved context and the user's question. If you need to enforce a specific output language regardless of input, contact support to configure a custom system prompt.
Right-to-left (RTL) languages
Arabic and Hebrew rendering in the widget is not supported in V1. This is a planned feature for future releases.
