What content can I add?
0xDoktor ingests the following formats:
- PDF documents — product manuals, policies, whitepapers
- Markdown files (
.md) — documentation, changelogs, guides - Plain text files (
.txt) - Web pages — paste a URL and 0xDoktor fetches and indexes the page content
- Spreadsheets and presentations (
.xlsx,.pptx) via the MarkItDown converter
How to upload via the admin panel
- Log in to your admin dashboard at admin.0xdoktor.com
- Navigate to Knowledge Base → Upload
- Drag and drop your files or click to browse
- Click Ingest — processing takes a few seconds per document
Once ingested, the content is immediately available to the widget for retrieval.
How to upload via the API
If you need to automate ingestion (for example, syncing documentation on every deploy):
curl -X POST https://api.0xdoktor.com/ingest/auto \
-H "Authorization: Bearer <your-token>" \
-H "X-Tenant-Id: your-tenant-id" \
-F "file=@docs/reference.md"
Use /ingest/preview to validate a document without committing it to the knowledge base.
What happens to my content after upload?
- The file is parsed and cleaned
- Text is split into overlapping chunks (roughly 800–1200 tokens each)
- Each chunk is embedded using a text embedding model
- Vectors and metadata are stored in your private Qdrant collection
- Your content is never accessible to other tenants
How do I update existing content?
Re-uploading a document with the same source URL or file name triggers an upsert — the old version is replaced, not duplicated. 0xDoktor uses a sourceHash to detect exact duplicates and skips re-embedding if the content has not changed.
How do I remove content?
From the admin panel, open Knowledge Base → Browser, find the entry, and click Archive or Delete. Archived entries remain in the vector store but are excluded from all retrieval results. Deleted entries are permanently removed.
How much content can I store?
Storage limits depend on your subscription plan. The admin dashboard shows current usage under Settings → Usage. If you need to store large documentation sets, contact support to discuss enterprise limits.
